Giants win again, 2 in a row!  M is home late from work, so it's a short one today.  The usual quick recap of last night's win, a review of the SBOD, and then it's right into tonight's matchup and game.  Since M didn't have time to do too much research, he tosses out some game predictions before discussing his leans and then finally settling on today's Safe Bet of the Day™.  Today's song of the day is by The Be Good Tanyas, titled "Draft Daughter's Blues".  Hope you like it.

Good morning, and welcome back to the state at a.m. in the a.m., your San Francisco Giants pre-game podcast, bringing you previews, projections, and predictions before every Giants game. Good morning and welcome back into the pod. It is Tuesday morning, May 12th. A little bit overcast out there, but should be nice later on today. We are coming to you after another Giants win. Alright. Too bad we don't get to play the Dodgers a little more often. We seem to play better against them than we do against lesser teams. It was another one of those weird days where the safe bet of the day did not come in, even though so here's what I had what I was saying yesterday is oh, I really like the first five under five. I had the Giants over three and a half. I like the Dodgers under five and a half. All three of those came in, and then I said, Well, but I'm gonna make for my safe pick of the day, safe bet of the day, the first five Giants run line, which didn't come in by half a run. So hopefully you were paying attention to the other ones. You got the Giants over three and a half, the Dodgers under five and a half, maybe the first five under five, because again, like on the day before, the safe bet of the day lost, but I actually did all right because my other ones came in. So hopefully you might have been able to do the same. And also hope you did the same. And also, man, we have so many chances. I felt like we were on the right side. Bases loaded in the third with one out, couldn't get any runs. We had Sasaki in trouble numerous times. We sort of easy, I'd easily had more than the one run in the first five. So we should have hit them all. We were on the right side, but what are you gonna do? Say la V. At least hopefully you made a couple dollars and didn't lose just the one bet. And like I said yesterday, I that there was a chance I wasn't gonna have time to do much research, and I did not. I just got home a little bit ago, and if I'm gonna get this out in the AM, I'm gonna have to do this pretty quick without very much, if any, research. But I was thinking, you know, I've seen Yamamoto, I've seen Hauser, so I don't really need to do that much research for these two. Let's just go ahead and go with a couple leans. Hopefully, we can take advantage of Otani being cold. The Giants got six walks yesterday last night. Unbelievable, and 12 hits, so the bats are coming around. So let's just get right into today's safe set of the day. And what I'm gonna do here is so when I got up, I looked at all the numbers, or when I got home this morning, this after this morning, yeah, I guess from work, I looked at all the numbers. And there's some I like. I'm kind of my feeling about the game is that I think first of all, the Dodgers are gonna ask Yamamoto to go go late in the game because the bullpen was used so often last night. And I think the Giants are gonna be able to hit him a bit. I think their bats are confident, I think they're gonna keep producing. They got him for three runs last time when they when he was in San Francisco. He gave up six hits, a couple walks. He did go seven innings, and they'll probably want him to go seven innings again. But I think they're gonna get a couple hits off of my like their chances against him today, especially the way they've been playing lately with their bats hitting and taking walks and all of that. So I think we're a little different team than we were when he came into San Francisco. And he didn't do that all great in when he was in San Francisco. He kind of had one of his bad games that game. So when I did look at the lines today when I got home, not all of them are out yet, probably because it's a late game. So a couple that I liked, well, they just kind of have bad no. I liked Yamamoto giving up over four and a half hits, but that was minus 139. I like him giving up over one and a half runs, but that was minus 154. I liked the over 15 and a half hits for the game, but that was minus 136. So it was all seemed so juicy that I couldn't really throw those out as the safe bet of the day. The only one that I circle that is actually a decent number is the over eight and a half at minus 110, because I think we're gonna get some off of Yamamoto, and then they will have to bring their bullpen in for at least two or three innings, and I think we'll take care of them a little bit more. And I'm thinking Hauser might give up some runs. So I kind of like the over eight and a half at minus 110. It's really the only thing that's a G that's a decent number. I kind of like Giants over three and a half runs, that's plus 116, but uh, I don't know if they can get to four. So those were the only numbers that I really liked today. They're just like I said, as usual, the pitching numbers were just way too juicy or the number itself was too high. The the money line was plus 261 for the Giants, the run line plus 125. So if you had any confidence, this is the game to go on the Giants and try to make some money. But again, it's LA and it's in LA, so that's why the numbers are like that. So I guess that's all I really have for today. We'll keep that as the safe bet of the day over eight and a half minus 110. And for today's song of the day, I'm gonna pick kind of an old one. It's not an old one, it's a newer one. I spent a couple years when I heard this the first time. It's called Draft Daughters Blues. It's by a group called the Be Good Tanyas. Tanyas, Tanyas, like the name Tanya. And yeah, it's just kind of a I don't know, it sounds like an Americana tune or something, and kind of hard to describe, kind of a countryish bluesy. I don't know, I guess Americana is the word that comes to mind when I think of it. So maybe that'll make sense to you, but it's a really cool tune. I really like it. Tell me what you think. Feel free, by the way, if anybody wants to send in any remarks about the podcast in general, what you think about the songs, what you think about the safe bed of the day, any suggestions, give it up, whatever you want to say. Feel free to write in, send me a little message, let me know what you think, that kind of thing. So that's all I have for tomorrow. Again, it's gonna be the same thing. Hopefully, I'll have time to do this, but if I don't, it's because I'm at work late all day. I see it's Otani versus Ray, which should be really good. Otani did not face, we didn't face Otani when the Dodgers were here, and Ray did not pitch against LA when they were here. So they're both facing each other for the first time. Maybe I'll have some time to look into their numbers before tomorrow. We'll have to see how work goes. But if not, it might be another simple thing like this where I come in and just give my general overview and leans. With that, that's everything I have. Have a great day out there. Always stay safe and go, Giants.
